Security & Safety Site Assessment

Security & Safety Site Assessment: Loss Prevention, Reduce Vulnerability to Loss, Eliminate Potential Liability Exposure, Cost-Effective, LP Awareness Training

The Site Assessment is a very useful tool for gathering information about a business from a Loss Prevention standpoint. Many of the assessment findings can be resolved immediately with the recommendations provided, thereby reducing vulnerability to loss as well as eliminating potential liability exposure in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Other recommendations may require policy and procedure enhancements, training programs, or budget approval prior to incurring a significant expense. In these instances, the recommendations should be thoroughly reviewed to determine the best course of action for the client.

Components of Loss Prevention Site Assessment

Our veteran Loss Prevention Specialist, Tony Jarana, will visit your business and conduct a Site Assessment of the premises. Initially, we meet with clients (or their designee) to obtain basic information for the assessment. The assessment typically focuses on three primary areas:

1. Physical Safety and Security -

Perimeter Protection - Lighting - Alarm Systems - Emergency Equipment - Camera Systems - External Storage Security - Security Officer Review

2. Operation Controls -

Key and Lock Controls - Access and Egress Systems - Inventory and Asset Controls - Vendor Practices Review - Cash Handling - Accident Response - Drug and Alcohol Policy Review

3. Loss Prevention Awareness -

Management and Employee LP Training Standards - Background Check Review - Internal or External Fraud Awareness and Response - Zero Tolerance - Issues Response (Theft - Violence - Harassment)

After completing the Assessment, we will generate a Findings and Recommendations Report and review it with you and other appropriate executives or staff for follow-up activity. Summit Consulting is capable of assisting with the program design, training, or implementation of any Loss Prevention topic requested.
